What I've Won: January 2016

Oops! We're almost finished February and I realised that I hadn't published my What I Won in January post! Better late than never, eh? January was a pretty good month for me, I can't complain too much.

Here's what I won:

1) Webbox dog treats (RRP £1.00) from Webbox
I won these directly from Webbox on Twitter. I don't have pets myself but Chris's mum and brother both have two dogs so I like to enter for them. A nice little treat!
2 & 3) Snoopy instant wins
I never do well with instant wins but I was pleased with these. C has recently discovered Snoopy and he loves having keyrings because he feels like a big boy with his own keys. I entered both times in the wee hours of the morning - it seems to have helped!

4) Wychwood t-shirt
I won this on the first day it opened. I was pretty excited as I knew Chris would love it, until I discovered that there was a glitch and everyone was getting winning notifications. Luckily Wychwood were lovely and honoured it anyway.

5) Easy Laces (RRP £4.99) from Easy Laces
This was a low entry competition on Twitter. I was really pleased because I knew my sister would love them for her Converse.

6) Clover the Lamb (RRP £10.99) from Lissi Lou
I spotted this on Twitter and just had to enter. E loves her stuffed animals is constantly kissing and cuddling them. As soon as he arrived she fell in love with him.

7) 2 tickets to Soulfly (RRP £32.00) from Limelight
The Limelight do a competition every week to win yourself plus a guest to one of their gigs, you just have to let them know who you'd like to see. I chose Soulfly as Chris loves them and hasn't seen them in years just after I first spotted the comp and won!

8) Animal crayons (RRP £2.50) from Colourful Crayons by Jess
I've been a fan of this page and the gorgeous shaped crayons for a while so I was so chuffed to win one of their Freebie Friday competitions. I didn't know which animals we would receive but I knew the kids would love them. They are so easy for E to hold and they've lasted ages!

9) Fire Station Activity Kit (RRP £8.00) from Parragon Books

This prize was just perfect for C. He is obsessed with fire engines and he's at that age now where he likes to build things. He got really excited when I told him he could open the parcel and was even more excited when he saw what was inside.

10) Beauty goodies (RRP £125.14) from Life of a Glasgow Girl
My first blog competition win of the year. It's such an amazing bundle and the first thing that I had to try was the Lush teddy!

11) Hamster bags (RRP £24.99) from Noah & the Girls
I was over the moon with this win! Chris and I don't drive so when we go shopping we have to make do with the basket under E's pram and carry the rest. These are such a great invention!

12) Scrabble frame (RRP £6.00) from Little Treasures
I entered this with the intention of gifting to a friend if I won. I haven't yet given it to her and I know she reads my blog so sorry - no pics for now! I will update when I've given it to her.

13) My Little Pony dvd (RRP £10.99) from Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy
The kids have recently discovered Tiny Pop after months of CBeebies. My Little Pony is one of their favourite shows so when I saw lots of blogs hosting this competition, I really wanted to win one for them.

14) £50 rimmel goody bag from Elle
I was so shocked to see a WEM in my emails. Usually I'm not so lucky with web competitions, most of my wins come from blogs or social media. My sister has claimed all of it!

15) £50 Iceland voucher from Iceland
Iceland teamed up with Birds Eye recently and hosted daily competitions on Facebook where you had to take a #Freezie (freezer selfie) following the instructions on the post. I didn't see the competition until the penultimate day where the theme was something that the children love to eat. It was 3am and the competition ended at 9am. I knew I had some Potato Smiles in the freezer - C's favourite food at that time - and took a selfie with it. I didn't actually think I'd win!

16) Lego Minifigures (RRP £20.00) from Dennis & Gnasher Epic Magazine
This was a little surprise win that arrived in C's name. He was so excited - his first Lego! He's obsessed with all things spooky and Halloween so he was delighted.

17) Spider-Man talking figure (RRP £22.95) from Marvel Play Time magazine
I love entering the children's magazine competitions for C. He's quickly becoming a little mini comper. He loves Spider-Man and couldn't wait to get it open.

18) Crosse & Blackwell soup & microwavable cup
This was from the current competition that is being run by Tesco and Asda. I won in the Tesco one, again in the early hours of the morning.

19) Goodfellas gluten free pizza voucher (RRP £3.00) from Goodfellas
I won this thinking I could gift it to my friend as she has coeliac disease. When it arrived it said it is only redeemable in mainland UK, boo!

20) Go With Your Gut cookbook (RRP £11.99) from Kyle Books

I'm such a cookbook hoarder and when I saw this one I knew I had to win it. I need to start eating better and apparently the recipes in this are great to aid digestion.

January's prize total is 20 prizes worth £384.54!

Look in my Letterbox #45

This week has been so slow with post - only five items! I've had some lovely wins and purchases recently so I'm hoping it will pick up a bit next week. As ever, I'm linking up with Look in my Letterbox.

Wins:
Toilet roll
This is an odd one! This was from a little Valentine's competition with Ideal Standard on Twitter. Very cute!

 Tie
I entered this competition with Susannah Hall Tailors on Twitter. They were giving away "a dozen ties for a dozen ties". Chris is a bit of a tie hoarder so I was happy to win one for him. I didn't get to choose the design but I quite like it! It looks pretty expensive too.

Others:
Nappies
Apologies for no photo but I've since unpacked them! They came from SoPost. I love when they do their nappy freebies as we use so much!

Skincare products
Again, this was a little SoPost freebie. Excited to try!

Penguin goodies
I recently hosted a competition for the Little Penguin Pororo DVD and we received these as a thank you. C was so chuffed and we just had to watch the DVD and make the jelly right away.

Well, sorry for the boring post! Hoping I have something more exciting next week. I definitely know I'll be including bows after a couple of purchases this week!

Siblings: February 2016

This month has been a tough one with the kids. I don't know if it's a combination of E becoming increasingly independant and C being a total threenager but things are hard. I feel like all I ever do is break up fights or tell one of them off for doing something to the other.

C likes to belly flop or just plain push E onto to the floor when she's walking. Bear in mind that she's only newly walking so she's a bit unsteady on her feet. He'll also hit her over the head with his toy sword which can actually be quite sore - he's done it to me before! If I tell him off he laughs and either later that day or the following day, he'll be back to doing it.

E isn't all innocent. She can hold her own and can retaliate. My dad has caught her hitting C (obviously she's picked that up from him) and she is beginning to snatch toys too. I do explain that she has to share but at 17 months, I'm not sure how much is going in. I have spoken to Chris about it and he thinks it's something that we just have to live with. Brothers and sister fight all the time. There is a ten year age gap between myself and my sister and I don't remember anything like this. Maybe it just happens with smaller age gaps?

I don't want to be a complete Debbie Downer. When they're good, they're really good. If C cries, E comforts her. If C hurts E and she cries, he'll immediately say sorry. They enjoy a cuddle together and C has recently started trying to lift E. It's really cute and he is strong enough to actually get her off the ground! E thinks it's great and laughs so much. When E wakes from her nap now, C will excitedly say, "Yay! The baby's awake! Wakey wakey!" He just loves having her around. We've had a few moments where they'll play nicely together but when they're quiet, they're usually up to mischief like drawing on the living room floor! They have both recently become massive fans of Frozen. C likes to sing Let It Go or Do You Wanna Build a Snowman? and E has started trying to join in. It's super cute hearing them sing their little duet together.

Zippy Suit Cloudbabies Pyjamas - Review & Giveaway

A little while ago, I reviewed the Zippy Suit flamingo all in one sleepsuit and absolutely loved it. I was actually so sad when E grew out of it!

When Zippy Suit got in touch to say that they had a brand new range of Cloudbabies pyjamas and asked me to review, I was so excited. The kids love Cloudbabies and if you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I have an obsession with buying baby clothing.

You can choose from zippy all in ones or two piece pyjama sets (they also sell bibs and muslins) in all of the characters; Baba Pink, Yellow, Green and Blue and whilst I was drawn towards girly pink pj's, I chose the Baba Yellow two piece pyjamas just for a little change from pink!

When they arrived, I couldn't wait to get them on her. She wears 18-24 month clothing (which I chose in these) and they fit perfectly. The ankles are cuffed which I love. When E is walking usually she ends up standing all over the bottom of her pyjamas causing her to slide and fall. These mean that she can walk comfortably and freely without any trouble.

The big Baba Yellow motif in the middle is the winner for E. When I put the pyjamas on her and pointed it the picture, she started stroking it, saying "aww!" and lifting it up to kiss. Super cute!

I've put the pyjamas through the washing machine AND tumble drier a couple of times and the image hasn't cracked at all. I'm very impressed! They haven't seemed to shrink either. E seems very comfortable wearing them and they're a great thickness - she isn't too warm or too cold in bed.

The zippy all in ones retail at £13 and are available in sizes newborn to 18 months whereas the two piece pyjamas sets are £15 and available in 6 months to 3 years.

You can find out more about the Cloudbabies range at the Zippy Suit website and you can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Zippy Suit have very kindly offered a pair of their pyjamas as a prize too! To be in with a chance of winning either a zippy all in one or pyjama set of your choice, just enter via the widget below. Good luck! T&C's can be found in the Gleam widget.

Look in my Letterbox #44

Another week, another Look in my Letterbox. This week I only have wins and buys. I haven't been accepting many bloggy bits for review as I've been in a bit of a slump. I think I need to give myself a shake and get a move on. Two of the items I bought, I wrote about last week but didn't want to share pics as they were for Chris's birthday. His birthday was yesterday so I've popped them in this post. As ever, I'm linking up with Alice-Megan.

Wins:
£50 Iceland vouchers
I won these in Iceland's #Freezie Selfie competition on Facebook. I entered the competition at like, 3am. 6 hours before it closed! It's such an amazing win and will be so handy for us.

£100 Rimmel bundle
My first ever Elle Magazine win! My sister has already claimed all of it.
Goodfellas voucher
I was really excited to a won a voucher for a free Goodfellas gluten free pizza. The voucher arrived and in the T&C's it said it can only be claimed in mainland UK...I'm in NI. D'oh!
Hamleys win
I always take part (when I can remember) in the Hamleys #MondayQuiz on Facebook and Twitter. I was so chuffed to have won last week on Twitter. I didn't know what the prize was but C will love it. I've put it away for when he's a bit bigger.
Card
This was a little Instagram win that my friend Tammy tagged me in. A cute little card!

Purchases:
Crowley Pop
This was one of Chris's birthday presents. I was torn between Sam, Dean and Crowley but Crowley won it. There's plenty more occasions for the others to be bought!
Jake mug
Another one for Chris as he loves Adventure Time. He did say it's a little awkward to drink from so it will be on display mostly.
Harry Potter colouring book
I actually saw a few blog competitions to win a copy and I tried desperately because I knew Chris would love it. I never did win but I managed to pick up a copy for £4.99 on Amazon.
Bows
I love my bow post! These are from one of my favourite shops - Bits and Bows.

Valentine's dress
I bought this handmade dress for E because of course I couldn't let an occasion go by where I didn't have a special outfit made for her!
