Kids Summer Sandals at Brantano - Review

I am obsessed with buying kids clothing and shoes. I think about 80% goes on them. With summer on its way, we were given the opportunity to try out a pair of summer sandals for E from Brantano's range. Choosing a pair was tough. They have such a gorgeous selection and at the end it was between the Sketchers Paw Princess (E actually saw these and wanted them herself - I think it's because they had a cat on them!) and the Hush Puppies Vikkie Smart Sandals.

I chose the Hush Puppies in infant size 5 as pink would go with more of her outfits. E was wearing size 4 and I knew she wouldn't be in them very long so I went up to be sure she'd get the wear out of them all summer. As soon as they arrived, E said "ah pretty shoes!" and asked me to put them on right away. I think the pink glitter was a sure winner!

I love that they have a thick sole but still look fashionable. I know that they're supporting her feet well. The little flowers are E's favourite feature, I think! I struggle with new shoes and the tiniest bit of thread poking out irritates me to no end and I'm left with sores and blisters. E has worn these shoes almost constantly for about two weeks now, all without socks on, and she hasn't had a single issue. They fit well and she can walk perfectly in them. I love that they have Velcro straps around the toe as well as the ankle so I can fit them to her foot width easily.

The Hush Puppies retail at only £30 (but are actually on sale right now for only £20!) which I think is very reasonable for such a fantastic and high quality shoe. This particular shoe is available in sizes 4-9 but if your child doesn't wear this size, I'm sure you could find something from the Brantano Summer sandals range to suit.
(We received these sandals for the purpose of this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)

Sock Ons - Review

Back in August, you may remember that C & I reviewed a fabulous pair of Mocc Ons from Sock Ons. I also mentioned how Sock Ons had very kindly sent us two pairs of their Sock Ons to review with the new baby. Well, she has arrived and we have been giving them a go.

We received a green pair in 0-6m and an orange pair in 6-12m. E has big feet but even that doesn't stop her socks from falling off. She even wriggles out of the smallest ones. I remember when C was little I was constantly losing socks or taking his blanket off when lifting him out of the pram and realising that he had cold feet due to getting his socks off!

Sock Ons are genius inventions. They just slot over your child's socks and keep them on - simple! They are made from soft, stretchy material but they are so tight as to hurt her feet. I've machine washed them too and they haven't lost their shape or affected how they work. All parents need these in their lives! I didn't know how much I needed them until I had them.

They come in a range of colours so you can always match them into your child's outfit. E always seems to be wearing pink or white socks so I think I'm going to invest in those colours next!

They are priced at £3.99 each which I think is an absolute bargain for what has come to be an essential baby item for me.

You can find a list of Sock On stockists here and you can find out more at the website, Facebook and Twitter.

(Disclaimer: I received these items free of charge in exchange for an open and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)

Mocc Ons - Review

A few weeks ago now, we were approached by Sock Ons to see if we would like to try out some of their products. Sock Ons are a revolutionary product that are designed to keep baby's socks on their feet. We have received two pairs of Sock Ons in green and orange to try out on the baby when she arrives at the beginning of next month so look out for my review on those!

In addition to Sock Ons, they also sell Dribble Ons (bandana bibs), Plod Ons (baby knee protectors for crawling) and Mocc Ons.

C was sent a pair of Mocc Ons to test out.

Mocc Ons are moccasin style slipper socks and they are available for children aged 6 months to 3 years. C is 23 months old and he received a gorgeous blue baseball boot-style pair in age 24-36 months so they are a little bit big on him but I'm happy that he will get plenty of wear out of them. C does run around the house in his bare feet but since receiving these, he's been wearing them non-stop! They are essentially a soft and stretchy cotton sock stitched to real leather sole. They seem to keep his feet warm and the leather sole ensures that he isn't sliding around on our living room floor and hurting himself.

C has chunky legs so the top of the sock does leave a mark if he's in them too long. I love the design and they haven't lost their shape even after a few goes in the washing machine. He seems to really enjoy wearing them. He couldn't stop staring at his feet and stomping around the first time I put them on him. They must be comfortable as he seems to have no complaints!

They are available in a wide range of designs and colours so you're sure to find something that you/your child will like!

They are priced at £10.49 and are well worth the money, in my opinion. I tend to find that C can take his slippers off or they can fall off easily but this isn't the case with the Mocc Ons. They would make a lovely gift too!
