Christmas Gift Ideas: Moochies Phone Watch

C is only little so doesn't play out on the street yet, but when he does I know I'll be absolutely terrified as I can't see him every second of every day. I have maybe 2 year before this starts and at 5 he will, in my opinion, definitely be too young to carry a mobile phone around with him so this is where Moochies comes in.

The Moochies phone watch is amazing! We received a watch for C and a phone which had the app pre-downloaded (Chris searched and it is easy enough to find on Android too). The phone watch takes a micro SIM card which can be on any network provided it gets 2G coverage. We have a pre-paid one that came with the watch and you can purchase these alongside your watch.

The phone watch has voice calling, parent set contact numbers, an SOS button (which when pressed sends an alert to the parents phone), GPS tracking, safe zones and also a watch function.

With the labelling to show which button does what. This can be removed.

The parent can set up two numbers that the child can call by simply pressing a button but have 20 numbers that can call the phone which makes it great for grandparents and other relatives. The voice calling is so clear and C thought it was great fun being able to talk to mummy through his watch.

The GPS has been wonderful for me when we take C to our local park. In the past I'd keep him either on his reins or by my side when all he really wants to do is run around. The watch has given me peace of mind that if he does go a little too far for a second, I'll know straight away where he is.

The Moochies watch is, in my eyes, an amazing concept. I've suffered from anxiety since C's birth and I honestly think this will be a huge help now and also as C (and E!) gets older.

The watch retails at £79.99 and you can purchase it from the Moochies website. You can also keep up to date on Facebook.

KD UK Thomas & Friends Smartphone - Review

I am always buying my children toys but they would much rather play with either the remote control for the TV or mummy and daddy's mobile phones. When we received our KD UK parcel a few weeks back, I was so chuffed to see the Thomas & Friends Smartphone. C is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan anyway so I knew he'd love it.

The phone obviously has an on/off button but also number 0-9. At each of these numbers are images of different Thomas & Friends characters so each number represents a person to call. If you press one of these buttons and leave it idle, the phone will ring as though the character is calling you back. Like a regular phone you have buttons to answer or decline the call.

You will also find four game modes: learning number, colours, quantities and to learn more about the characters. You can switch between modes using the four buttons directly above the power button. C loves to match the fact to the characters and find the correct number when he's asked.

Above that you have a little image of a train and when you slide your finger along it, the train will play a tune and the three lights above it will flash.

C (and E!) love this little smartphone and there is so much packed into such a small toy. He has discovered so many new facts and he didn't take very long to suss out how to use it.

The Thomas & Friends Smartphone is recommended for children aged 2 years+ and it retails at £13.00 and it is worth every penny. It's played with every day in our house!

You can find out more at the KD UK website or you can follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Christmas Gift Ideas: Polagram

If you're a regular reader of my blog (because I've mentioned it a lot) or you follow me on social media, you'll know that I take a lot of photos of my kids. When Polagram recently got in contact with me about their app I was eager to try it out.

Polagram is really a web store where you can purchase photo prints, gift boxes of photographs, posters, photobooks, calendars and cases but you do it through their smartphone app. I take 95% of my photographs on my iPhone so I knew that Polagram would be something that I'd love.

I downloaded the app (which is free, by the way) and decided that I'd love a new iPhone case. I'd just taken a gorgeous portrait photo of both of my children a few days prior so I knew that that was the image that I wanted displayed for everyone to see.

Ordering is easy. I selected Cases > iPhone 5 then you can choose where to pull your photo from; either your phone itself, Facebook or Instagram. Once you confirm that it looks great then you fill in all your order details and off it goes to be made. I ordered mine on the 13th November and it was sent on the 14th so delivery was very prompt.

I fell in love with it as soon as I opened it. The finish is amazing and the image wraps nicely around the case and all of the ports and buttons are accessible.  It fits like a glove too.

I think I'll probably use Polagram a lot in the future for simple photo prints. It cuts out all the hassle of faffing around with leads and computers at kiosks and you can order straight away from the comfort of your own home and you don't have to waste time uploading individual photos one by one to printing websites.

The prices are great value for such high quality products. A personalised iPhone 5 case for only £19.90! The gift boxes would make a great Christmas present for family members too and they are only £12.69 for 36 photos!

You can find out more about Polagram at their website, Facebook and Twitter.

(Disclaimer: I received this iPhone case free of charge in exchange for an open and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)

Christmas Gift Ideas: Tech21

These days, the majority of people own smartphones and tablets. Tech21 have a wide range of accessories that are perfect for Christmas gifts.

They sell a range of Impactology cases for iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, 4 and 6, Apple Macbook, Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5, HTC M8 and iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad and iPad 3rd and 4th gen. You can also purchase anti-glare screen protectors for iPhone models 5c, 5s and 4s.

Impactology is a promise that Tech21's products always deliver the most intelligent impact protection. The products are made with a selection of ingenious raw materials, providing optimum impact protection. I was given the opportunity to try out two items from their range - an iPad mini mesh case and an iPhone 5 Smokey case.

Both of the cases that I received are integrated with D30 Impact material which absorbs and dissipates shock from your device when dropped. Perfect for me having two children in the house!

The iPad mini case is made from a thick rubber. It bends and may look flimsy but it's far from it. It fits perfectly and leave access for usage of all ports and as the case is compatible with Apple Smart Cover, one edge of the iPad isn't covered so that this can click in.

The iPhone 5 case is made from a hard plastic with a rubber bumper. It feels secure in my hand and again, you get full usage of all of your ports.
The cases for both items look and feel high quality and you can really put your trust in Tech21.

You can find out more about Tech 21 at their website, Facebook and Twitter.
