Old English Company - Review

I didn't really know much about Old English Company before having the chance to review but as soon as I checked out the website, I absolutely loved everything and found it so difficult to whittle down what I wanted. I love stationery, mugs and anything with a quirky quote so Old English Company with their hand lettered goods is right up my street.

When I eventually decided on my items, I chose the Charcoal Grey and Gold A5 Planner,  Mother Enamel Pin, Buy Me Pizza Make Up Pouch and She Believed She Could Mug.

The mug was the first thing that I decided on. I love a mug with a quote and as a blogger, I am always writing, I'm fueled by tea and coffee but I do have days where I just could not be bothered. I think this is a lovely quote to give you a little a boost of motivation in the mornings. I love it! It makes me feel like I've got this.

Similarly, every blogger needs a planner. The charcoal and gold colours go really well together and the design is simple yet beautiful. It is really well made and the card on the cover feels quite fancy. The planner has 248 pages with checklists and a place for notes. I like that you can write your own dates in and it isn't like a diary - I tend to skip some days accidentally then feel bad when I see an empty page!

I am pin obsessed - I'll admit it! I don't even know how it started. I was a emo kid as a teenager and had a tartan bag which I covered with badges so I think it's stemmed from there. I honestly spent far too long on the pin section of Old English Company and there are still so many others that I think I'm going to go back and buy. I chose the Mother one because I don't have any other pins in a similar vein and I was just drawn to the simplistic look of it. I think it would make a really lovely gift too.

Finally, I feel like this make up pouch was made for me. I love pizza, it's my vice and it really made me laugh when I first saw it. It's made from cotton and is a great size so I can fit all my daily make up in with lots of space left over. It would be a nice stationery pouch too if you aren't a big make up wearer.

I am so glad to have discovered the Old English Company website. Everything is such great quality, well-made and most importantly, so Instagrammable (yep, I said it!). The prices are definitely affordable and it's a great place to browse if you are looking for a gift or to treat yourself!

You can have a look at the full range at the Old English Company website and also keep up to date on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

(I received these items for the purpose of this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)

Christmas Gift Ideas: 2 Little Boys Stationery

I am a sucker for stationery and with being a blogger, I have lots of little bits and pieces around the house so I can jot down ideas. I think stationery can make a lovely stocking filler or Secret Santa gift for people of all ages.

2 Little Boys is an award-winning gift and stationery company has just lauched two new stationery ranges to their collection.

Their 'How To...for the inept' range of binders, refill pads and notebooks have bold, colourful graphics and funny (but useless) tips on 'How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse' perfect if your giftee is a Walking Dead fan! You can also get the man in your life the 'How to be a Man' range or if someone you know has just gone to university the 'How to Survive University' or 'How to Tell You're Drunk' ranges are ideal.

Prices start at £5.99 for an A4 jotter.

Another new range is the 'I'm going to...' one. These are white with big, bright text on them which state something motivational such as 'I'm going to be ridiculously rich' or '...the boss'. There is something for everyone so you can choose something that fits to the person receiving the gifts' personality.

I've had a chance to try out a couple of notebooks from the 'I'm going to...' range and the first thing I always check is the paper. There is nothing worse than thin paper but these are just perfect. The quality is amazing and I'm absolutely loving them. They come in both plain and lined paper. The bright colours are lovely to see on my desk and do make me motivated and happy to work through my lists!

Prices for this range start at £5.99 for an A4 jotter.

You can check out the full range at the 2 Little Boys website and you can also keep up to date on Facebook and Twitter.

(Disclaimer: I received three notebooks for the purpose of this post.)

I'm a Shoplet Blogger!

The best thing about starting a new school year, for me, was buying stationery. I used to love choosing nice pens and pretty notebooks - I still do now! Imagine how thrilled I was to be chosen as part of Shoplet's UK Blogger network.

Shoplet.com was originally founded in 1994 and are an American based company. Today, Shoplet in the number one e-retailer of office stationery and supplies, carrying a selection of over 400,000 business products, 20,000 of which are eco-friendly.

In June of this year, they branched out to the UK with shoplet.co.uk which is where I come in. As part of their Product Reviewer Program, I'm here to pass the word on about this fantastic company.

To ease me in, I received a welcome pack. I was so excited to see what was inside.

I received:
  • 43g Pritt Stick - this is great as I love doing arts and crafts with C so will come in very handy. I will be doing a lot of Christmas crafts so I will definitely need it!
  • Nescafe Gold Blend sachet - Coffee is not to my taste so I didn't use this - my mum enjoyed it though!
  • 3pk Remarkable pencils - I LOVE these. It's very noticeable that these pencils are made from recycled materials and they're bright and colourful too!
  • Sample of screen cleaning wipes - I own a laptop, iPad mini and iPhone and I will always be using one of them. I'm naughty and never clean my screens but this worked so well!
  • 5pk paper clips - These aren't like your regular boring metal paperclips. They are so colourful and make your work look fun!
  • Shoplet catalogue - I had a good browse through this and wanted to buy almost everything in it!
  • Address Labels - I have a eBay account so these labels come in very handy when selling an item. Usually I write out the buyers address on a A4 sheet of paper and cellotape it to my package. These labels cut down the time it takes to get an item ready for sending.
  • Folder - my partner has claimed this. He's currently doing a course in biomedical and biological science so this is great for keeping his notes together.
  • Notebook & pen - again, something that Chris has claimed for his course. Definitely coming in useful!
  • Information leaflets

As well as what I have received, Shoplet also offer A4 paper, cleaning supplies and even discount office furniture!

I really loved my welcome pack and I'm so excited to bring you more Shoplet news!
