I've been so glad to finally see a bit of sun this week and we have been embracing it. C loves running around outdoors and pointing at all of the trees and flowers. He's a proper little nature lover.

Happy Mother's Day!

This is my third Mother's Day but my first as a mum of two. I feel so lucky to have such awesome children in my life. C said, "Happy Mother's Day" to me today for the first time ever which was lovely. This photo was taken today and it's a rare photo of me with both children as it isn't a selfie! I think it is one of my new favourites.

I felt so loved today. I was able to have a lie in, Chris made me and Ulster fry (yum!) and I received a beautiful bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates.

I hope all the other mummies reading got absolutely spoiled and had a lovely day!

C is a huge Peppa Pig fan and has recently taken a liking to 'jumping in muddy puddles' like Peppa and George. This picture was snapped during his first time being in his welly boots and actively looking for puddles to jump in. I've never seen him having so much fun. I think I'll have to get myself some wellies and join in!

When C was little, we heard great stories about the FisherPrice Jumperoo so we decided to buy him one. He absolutely adored it and it was the most used piece of baby equipment we had. Definitely worth the money.

I knew that he wouldn't be our last baby so we kept it. We've now brought it out for E to use and she loves it just as much. I managed to snap this photo of her bouncing in it and I think it captures her little personality perfectly!

We had a trip to the zoo this week. It was the first time C has been where he's at an age where he understood. He loved seeing all the animals with the zebras, giraffes and penguins being his favourites!

#MySundayPhoto 25/01/2015 - Feeding the ducks

Following on from my #MySundayPhoto post last week where I vowed to get out of the house more, we decided to go for a walk to feed the ducks despite the fact that it was so cold that I couldn't feel my fingers or toes! 

The last time C went to feed the ducks was last summer when I was pregnant with E, but he didn't really understand what they were and he was a lot less vocal. This time, he was so excited and kept saying "hello duckies!" I think we'll have to take him up maybe fortnightly as he seemed to really enjoy it. 

#MySundayPhoto 18/01/2015 - A freezing cold park trip!

Before E was born four months ago, we used to take C to the park almost every day. We slacked quite a bit after her birth as I found it a bit difficult to get both kids sorted and out of the house in optimum time (I like to go before the school kids get out and the park gets busy) especially as neither of us drive. Regardless of the weather, I knew that we had to get C back out to run around. Despite it being icy cold, he had great fun playing. My aim is to get him out of the house as much as possible to blow off some steam!

#MySundayPhoto 11/01/2015 - A New Puppy

Nanny (Chris's mum) got a new puppy today. A yorkie/shih tzu cross. C was very gentle with her and kept calling her 'baby puppy'. He was completely in awe - probably because he hadn't seen anything so little before!

I think we'll have to persuade daddy to get us a puppy too!
