OXO Tot Sit Right Toilet Trainer - Review

I recently posted about how we had successfully potty trained C and touched on the fact that we had been using the OXO Tot Sit Right Toilet Trainer to progress from potty to big toilet and I wanted to do a full review of the seat as I just love it so much. I do a lot of reviews on this blog and I like the majority of the items that I accept. Some are good, some I continue to buy if it's a product that can be used up and a handful are ones that I think are genius and that all parents should own. The Sit Right Trainer is one of the latter.

I was offered the chance to review one around a year ago but at that stage, C wasn't interested in potty training so I politely declined. Fast forward to March this year and potty training was beginning. It was a tough job getting him to use the potty at first and I thought I'd have my work cut out for me when it came to progressing to the big toilet. I popped an email over to OXO Tot and asked if the offer of a review was still on the table and thankfully it was.

When it first arrived, C was actually really excited to use "mummy and daddy's toilet." The seat is made from hard plastic, it fits into your toilet seat perfectly and it doesn't slide about once it is set on due to the green rubber on the base. C can stand up on his stool, have his back to the toilet, put his hands on the handles and hoist himself onto the seat all by himself. The seat is shaped so he will be comfortable sitting on it and there is a little lip at the front to prevent weeing over the floor. It's wipe clean too which is what you'd expect from a toilet training seat. From the first day of usage, C took to it right away and we haven't used the potty since.

The flat design means we can store it away easily and C just grabs it himself when he needs to use the toilet. If we are going out for the day or staying at my parents house, I can stick it in a plastic bag and bring it out with us for use on public toilets as it is very lightweight too.

The OXO Tot Sit Right Toilet Trainer has made my life so much easier and has made the transition from potty to toilet quick and painless. It retails at £15.00 and honestly, it will be the best £15.00 you'll ever spend. I cannot recommend it enough. If you have a child who you are potty training or will be potty training soon, buy one of these!

You can find out more about the range at the OXO Tot website and you can also keep up to date on Twitter and Facebook

OXO Tot Flippy Snack Cup

I am a huge fan of the OXO Tot range having already reviewed their Divided Feeding Dish, Twist Top Bottle & Bottle Drying Rack so I was so pleased to be given the opportunity to try out one of their Flippy Snack Cups

Now that C is getting bigger, he enjoys being out of the house, running around and generally blowing off some steam. As we don't drive and walk everywhere, the journeys to the park can take a good few hours so we always pack some snacks for C to eat on the way. His favourites are fruit so this little cup is perfect. I can fit quite a lot into the 235ml cup (strawberries and raspberries tend to be the winners).

The handle on the side is just the right size for C's little hand to hold and the flexible opening means it's easy for him to get his snacks out. If it doesn't want to eat them all in one go, there is a plastic snap-on cover to keep them fresh. My favourite thing about this cup is that it doesn't open when it's been dropped. C is so clumsy and everything gets spilled. It's so easy to clean too!

The Flippy Snack Cup is available in green, aqua & raspberry and it retails at £6.00. You can find out more about OXO at the website and you can also follow them on Facebook & Twitter.

#MPBTurns2 Giveaway #8: OXO Tot 4 Piece Feeding Set

You may remember that I've worked with OXO Tot on reviews of the Twist Top Water Bottle and Divided Feeding Dish. They have very kindly decided to join in with my birthday celebrations and have offered my readers the chance to win one of their lovely 4 Piece Feeding Sets!

The set consists of a fork, spoon, plate with removable ring and bowl with lid. The plate ring helps to keep food contained which is especially great for younger children. The bases are non-slip so they stay in place and the bowls have high walls which make it easier for children to scoop food themselves. The handles of the spoon and fork are non-slip and are curved for ease of use. The fork tines are rounded so there is no danger of your child hurting themselves. The set is suitable for 12 months+ and is dishwasher safe.

C actually owns one of these sets and we love it. The shape of all the items are great, especially the fork and spoon and he loves being able to feed himself with them. I find that the plate and bowl are good sizes and the plastic is hard and durable - just what you need with a tornado-like toddler!

For the chance to win your own set, just fill in the Rafflecopter widget below. This competition will run from January 9th until January 23rd and it is open to UK residents only. The prize will supplied directly from the company. Good luck!

OXO Bottle Drying Rack - Review

OXO are mainly known for their useful and helpful kitchen and household accessories that are designed to make day-to-day tasks much easier.

They have a fab range of baby & toddler products and we've been lucky enough to be trying out the Bottle Drying Rack. Although C is a fully-fledged toddler, he does still have a bedtime bottle and now that I am 30 weeks pregnant we will be beginning to use bottles with the new baby too.

When I first opened the rack out, I was impressed by how spacious it was but it isn't too big that it is a pain to have sitting in the kitchen. C uses tommee tippee bottles but I've got some MAM bottles for the new baby and both brands of bottle fit on comfortably as the tines are flexible and I can even slot it C's juice bottles, plates and cutlery in the little pot provided.

The rack is deep so it holds drained water without spilling and the rounded edges make it easy to pour it out. The ridges are high enough that the items are kept away from the water at the bottom.

I honestly can't believe that I've managed almost two years parenting without using a rack like this as it is so much easier to keep all C's bits away from our regular dishes. I would definitely recommend this rack to any parent to babies/toddlers and it's dishwasher safe too!

You can purchase your own OXO Bottle Drying Rack for £15.32. You can find out more about OXO at their website, Facebook and Twitter.

OXO Tot Twist Bottle Review

Our house is packed with juice bottles for C. I'm always on the hunt for new ones. I think I have a strange obsession.

Imagine my delight when OXO Tot very kindly sent us out one of their Twist Top Bottles to review!

This bottle is aimed for children 2years+ but C is pretty confident with a straw so he is able to drink through it fine. It is a thick plastic so it's a little heavy for him at the minute but I imagine a 2 year old would have no problem holding it.

The twist top is a lifesaver as because the straw doesn't have a stopper, juice will just pour out if the cup is dropped. Using the twist top keeps a lot of spills from happening! The straw is wide so its easy to retrieve liquid.

There is a fab loop which makes it easy for carrying too. We've been bringing it everywhere with us (C likes to hold the loop and move it across his highchair tray!). The cup itself has a wide rim so you can even add ice if need be and it's easy to clean.

My partner even said that he wants one!

Most importantly it is BPA free and dishwasher friendly!
This bottle retails are £8.00 and is also available in Aqua and Raspberry.

You can find OXO Tot at their website, Facebook and Twitter.

OXO Tot Divided Feeding Dish Review

Since C is getting bigger and eating more solid foods, I have been looking into getting him a 'big boy plate' rather than using a bowl. I originally wanted to buy him a divided plate but I just couldn't see any nice ones until OXO Tot came along.

I was given the opportunity to review an item from their website. They have a wide range of bath, feeding and nursery items but when I saw the divided feeding dish, I knew it had to be that. It is available in Aqua, Raspberry & Green. I opted for green. Now it isn't quite a plate, it's more like a bowl but it isn't as deep and perfect for C's meals.

There are two sections to the dish, each with a 4 ounce capacity. It's a great size too as it fits comfortably in your hand (I like to hold the plate as C is likely to tip it over if I leave it on the highchair tray!).

The three parts fit easily together and we even used it as a snack container for when we were out and about. The ring can be left on too so that you can scrape off excess food. The best thing about it though is that it's dishwasher-safe and microwaveable!

Since we received this dish in the post, I haven't used his regular bowl. It's quickly becoming my favourite item as it is so handy for practically anything! It's a good thick bowl too and I can definitely see it lasting a long time.

This dish is suitable for babies 6 months+ and is BPA, phthalate and PVC free. They retail at $7.99.
