Care Bear Plush Toys from Basic Fun - Review

[AD/Gifted - We received these item for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.]

When I was a young child back in the 90s, I was a massive fan of Care Bears - Good Luck Bear was probably my favourite, hailing from Northern Ireland! Now, almost 30 years later, it makes so happy that my own six-year-old daughter is Care Bear crazy too. It's like we've come full circle! If you aren't familiar with Care Bears (where have you been?!), they are a group of huggable BFFs living that sweet caring life.

Basic Fun have a new range of Care Bears plush toys available to collect in 16" Bedtime Bear plush, medium 14" plush and small 9" plush. E was beside herself with excitement about receiving a selection. The designs have had a little bit of a revamp, with their faces looking more modern, but they have kept the traditional bright bellies with their motif.

We we really lucky and had a bear sent in each size - 16" Bedtime Bear, 14" Cheer Bear and 9" Grumpy Bear.

Bedtime Bear is E's favourite without a doubt. Its fur is the longest of the three which makes it perfect for snuggling with. The soothing aqua colour combined with the moon and star belly badge and the sleepy eyes let you know it's time for bed! You can purchase Bedtime Bear from John Lewis for £19.99.

The 14" plushes are available in Tenderheart, Good Luck Bear, Grumpy Bear, Funshine Bear, Share Bear and Cheer Bear. Each of them have their own belly badge and are super fluffy! These ones all come boxed with very little plastic which is a massive plus and they come with a collectable coin too. You can buy your own 14" plush toys from Smyths Toys for £14.99.

All six bears are also available as a 9" beanie plush. E thinks Grumpy Bear's face is hilarious and likes to pretend that it is being sassy. Due to its size, E definitely prefers to take this one out and about. You can begin your collection and find the 9" plushes from The Entertainer at only £8.00.

We have bubbled with my parents for childcare and every time the children go there when I am at work, E brings at least one of her new Care Bears with her. She is obsessed - even sleeping with them all every single night.

Cutetitos Fruititos - Review

(AD/Gifted - We received these items for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)

If you haven't heard of Cutetitos Fruititos yet, they are fun little plush toys wrapped in a blanket burrito. That was the extent of my knowledge of them based on what my daughter E had told me. She would see them advertised on TV all the time so she was very excited to get her own to open!

Each Cutetito is wrapped in outer packaging then when you've opened that, you can see the blanket colour but not what animal is inside as it is wrapped in fruity printed paper, adding to the surprise element. They are essentially blind bags but the packaging is much more fun. The scents are super strong and sweet - we love a scented toy!

There are four collections: Fruity and Berry Fruity (which are both Common), Extra Fruity (which is Rare) and Super Fruity (which is Super Rare). Each collection has three different animals in it, meaning that there are twelve to collect.

Once you have opened up the Cutetitos fully, the animals have a little fruit spot which helps you determine which collection they are from.

E basically raced through opening the three that she received. Once you take the paper off, you can see their cute little faces and then unwrap the blanket. This is fastened by Velcro so it is easy to wrap back up again. The blankets are block colour on the outside but have a fruit theme on the inside. You also get a card inside to tell you all about your new animal with information like its name and birthday.

E received Puffito who is a chinchilla from the Fruity collection, Rainbowito who is a unicorn from the Berry Collection and Goldito who is a fruit bat from the Super Fruity collection - yes - a super rare! E was beside herself with excitement about that one. Look at that smile!

Since opening, E has slept with them in her bed ever since because they have the softest fur. She absolutely loves snuggling up to them and I think the scent is actually soothing.

Cutetitos Fruititos are available to buy from Smyths Toys for £7.99 and are perfect for children aged around 5-7 years. We will definitely be buying some more and trying to complete our collection!

Trolls World Tour is out now!

[AD/Gifted - We received the Trolls plush toy as a gift and I have chosen to share the information in the post in exchange.]

Ever since my two children first watched Trolls back in 2016, they have been obsessed with it. It is a great family movie with a lot of humour and great songs to sing along to. When 'Trolls: The Beat Goes On' was released on Netflix, it reignited the children's love all over again.

When we heard about a second movie coming out, 'Trolls World Tour', we had planned on having a family cinema trip to see it. Obviously, with the Covid-19 pandemic, this hasn't been possible. As so many little ones (and adults!) were excited to see the movie, it has been released digitally so you can watch Poppy, Branch and the gang in their next adventure from the comfort of your own home.

You can find all the links of where to rent the movie at the Universal Pictures website or by clicking the collated below.

Amazon Prime - HDVOD / SDVOD
Apple TV (available from April 10th)

To help get us excited for Trolls World Tour, we received a fabulous present in the post from the lovely people at Posh Paws International - a 10" Branch plush toy!

He is super cute and cosy to cuddle - perfect to snuggle up with when watching. You can also get Poppy, Guy Diamond and some new characters from the new movie!

You can find them all at the Posh Paws International website.

Pirata & Capitano Plush Toys from Posh Paws

(AD/Gifted - We received these items for the purpose of this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)

Milkshake on Channel 5 is a staple in our house and has been ever since the children were babies. I'll even go back further and say that I would watch it religiously as a child 20-odd years ago and my parents even sent a birthday card in for me!

It's part of our morning routine before school and C and E both love that they can watch for a little longer at the weekend too. We all love the diverse range of shows and one of the children's new favourites is Pirata & Capitano.

If you haven't yet watched or heard of Pirata & Capitano, the show follows the adventures of Pirata who helms her own ship, the Pink Skull, looking for adventures whilst travelling the Great Sea. She is also joined by Capitano who flies a red seaplane, and all their friends. It is a lovely show which teaches children values in a fun and humourous way.

Posh Paws International have recently brought out a range of plush toys to coincide with the show and C and E were very excited to finally see some of the new favourite characters available in toy form.

Available in the range are 10" versions of Pirata, Capitano, Roberto and Weboo. You can also get 7" versions of those four characters plus Meowcat and Pineapple Wilson.

C and E received Capitano and Weboo, who is the quick-thinking powerhouse of the Pink Skull. Both my children adore soft toys and have an abundance of them to snuggle up with a night. Capitano and Weboo have slotted right in.

Posh Paws International have done a fantastic job with these when it comes to detail. They are fantastic quality, very well made and they look like they have just stepped right out of the television.

The Pirata & Capitano plush toys from Posh Paws retail at £8.99 for 7" and £14.99 for 10" and you can purchase them from Amazon.

Foodie Roos - Review

[AD/Gifted - We received these items for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This post also contains affliate links, meaning that I will earn a few pennies if you purchase through my link.]

The amount of collectible toys that C and E have between them must be in the hundreds. They love trying to collect the entire range of whatever toy it is and it's very exciting when you get a full set.

Foodie Roos from John Adams have gone one further and created mini collectible plush toys! The kids really love plush toys and have an abundance in their beds that they couldn't bare to part with - even the scruffy ones they've had since birth!

One day in Yummyville, these animals were enjoying their favourite foods and ate a bit too much. They then turned into their favourite food and became a Foodie Roo!

Each Foodie Roo comes in a little pot and on the front you'll see a peekaboo rectangle as a sneak peek into who will be inside. You'll also see either Popcorn, Gummies, Chips, Cookies, Fruit Cup, Soda, Pretzel, Juice or Cereal. Each of these categories have two different Foodie Roos to collect plus you could be lucky enough to find one of two rare treats, so there are 20 available in Series 1.

E couldn't wait to get opening and see who was inside each pot. We started off with our Gummies one and found Bouncy Bear inside. You also get a sheet of stickers, a collector's guide, two connectors and an instruction manual. The instruction manual shows how to turn the pot into a little room for your Foodie Roo. The stickers can then be used to decorate it. I really like this concept as it means there is minimal single use plastic and you have an instant playset.

The smell of the Foodie Roos are really quite strong but E absolutely loved this about this. We opened a few others afterwards; Citrustripes from the Soda collection, Berry Hop from Fruit Cup, Whale-Ale from Juice and Pretzquirrel from Pretzel. Each of them are very different, not only by smell but texture and weight too. We instantly felt as though Citrustripes and Whale-Ale were very heavy in comparison to the others, obviously as a drink would be heavy in a glass or cup. You can also hear the sloosh if you shake them. If you give them a squeeze, the textures are reminiscent of their food.

We have some very exciting news. When we opened the last pot, we were greeted with a foil sheet over the top that said "Winner winner! Rare treat inside!" E actually squealed at the top of her lungs and ran to tell her daddy that she'd got a rare one. It was adorable. There are two rare Foodie Roos to find; Raccoon Macaron and Sugarphant, we got Sugarphant and E was very adamant that it smells like frosting.

Now, all of the Foodie Roos currently live in E's bed as she can "smell them whenever she wants when she's going to sleep".

The Foodie Roos from John Adams are priced at £7.99 each and are available from Smyths and all good toy retailers. I know E will definitely be wanting some more of these and I think they'd be great for stocking fillers or a little gift for all those schoolfriends' birthday parties!

Rainbow Designs Talking Peter Rabbit Plush Toy - Review & Giveaway

For C and E who are almost 6 and 4, Peter Rabbit has been a staple on our television. They have both watched CBeebies since they were tiny with Peter Rabbit being one of their favourite shows.

Over the years, their love has a grown and that brings a bit of nostalgia for me as I have always been a fan of Beatrix Potter. We own so many Peter Rabbit & Friends books, toy figures and we even made sure to see the latest movie in the cinema on Easter Sunday.

Rainbow Designs have a super cute little Talking Peter Rabbit soft toy and both children were so excited to receive one of their own.

He is so soft and cuddly which makes him great for children of all ages, right from birth. In true Peter fashion, he has his famous blue coat and green bag perfect for storing his radishes that he nabs from Mr McGregor's garden!

Giving his tummy a little press prompts him to say one of five phrases such as "a good rabbit never gives up" and "let's hop to it!" The voice is instantly recognisable and you can match it straight to the TV show.

Talking Peter Rabbit is the sweetest little toy and would make a lovely gift for any small child. It's the perfect size for tiny hands, good for a snuggle (as E will tell you as she's brought him to bed with her every night!) and the addition of the phrases gives it an edge over a regular plush toy. I also love a toy that comes with batteries supplied too!

If you want to get your hands on your own Talking Peter Rabbit you can purchase it at £17.99 from Argos, in store or online. You can also keep up to date with Rainbow Designs on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The lovely people at Rainbow Designs have also set one aside as a prize for one of my readers! To be in with a chance of winning your very own Talking Peter Rabbit, just enter via the Gleam widget below. Good luck!
