Christmas Gift Ideas: Polagram

If you're a regular reader of my blog (because I've mentioned it a lot) or you follow me on social media, you'll know that I take a lot of photos of my kids. When Polagram recently got in contact with me about their app I was eager to try it out. 

Polagram is really a web store where you can purchase photo prints, gift boxes of photographs, posters, photobooks, calendars and cases but you do it through their smartphone app. I take 95% of my photographs on my iPhone so I knew that Polagram would be something that I'd love. 

I downloaded the app (which is free, by the way) and decided that I'd love a new iPhone case. I'd just taken a gorgeous portrait photo of both of my children a few days prior so I knew that that was the image that I wanted displayed for everyone to see.

Ordering is easy. I selected Cases > iPhone 5 then you can choose where to pull your photo from; either your phone itself, Facebook or Instagram. Once you confirm that it looks great then you fill in all your order details and off it goes to be made. I ordered mine on the 13th November and it was sent on the 14th so delivery was very prompt. 

I fell in love with it as soon as I opened it. The finish is amazing and the image wraps nicely around the case and all of the ports and buttons are accessible.  It fits like a glove too. 

I think I'll probably use Polagram a lot in the future for simple photo prints. It cuts out all the hassle of faffing around with leads and computers at kiosks and you can order straight away from the comfort of your own home and you don't have to waste time uploading individual photos one by one to printing websites. 

The prices are great value for such high quality products. A personalised iPhone 5 case for only £19.90! The gift boxes would make a great Christmas present for family members too and they are only £12.69 for 36 photos!

Baker Days Christmas Letterbox Cake - Review & Giveaway

I love Baker Days, For anyone who hasn't heard of them, they sell cakes!

As part of their range, you can buy letterbox cakes which do fit through your letterbox! With Christmas coming up, I decided to try one of their little Christmas cakes for C. I opted for the Christmas Teddy design.

The cake arrived a few days later in a little box. It was encased in a small cake tin with an added Christmas cracker - how cute - and an adorable little Christmas card too. The cake itself is 5 inches in size and does 3-4 servings. It comes in a hygiene bag with instructions on how to lift it out carefully.

We received a standard sponge cake which was impossibly fluffy. The gorgeous creamy icing complemented it beautifully. The little image on the icing was perfect too. C kept repeating, "teddy!" The cake was surprisingly fully intact considering that it had been posted.

Everyone enjoyed this cake and it would make a great Christmas gift to send directly to a friend or loved one. Baker Days cakes are also available in small, medium and large (but these ones obviously will not be posted through your letterbox!) and you can choose from a sponge, chocolate chip, fruit cake, gluten free or dairy free filling. They have a wide range of other occasion themed cakes like Birthday Cakes as well as Christmas ones! They even sell cupcakes too!

Ozeri Bathroom Scales - Review

In the past I've done a couple of reviews for Ozeri (Turtlemeter and Moderna Artisan Glasses) and I've loved both items so I was very pleased to have the opportunity to work with them again. This time, I received the fabulous Precision II Digital Bathroom scales.

Our old scales were just that - old! They were manual scales so I could never be sure if what they were telling me were correct. The Ozeri Precision Digital scales and my old ones are miles apart.

The scales use 4 high precision sensor that measure up to 440 pounds and they have an LCD screen which glows blue with your weight whenever you step on them. They switch off by themselves too to reserve battery life. You are able to switch between lbs, kgs and st depending on how you would like them read. They are made from heavy tempered glass which doesn't seem too fragile and the feet are non-slip so you don't need to worry about your floors getting scratched.

The scales come with 4 AAA batteries and a free body fat caliper which is great if you are actively recording losses. The Precision II Digital Bathroom scales are sleek, stylish and would match any bathroom. I trust the weight that the scales tell me and I love that they give half and quarter lbs too.

JJ Cole BundleMe Hat, Mittens & Booties - Review

With the cold weather coming and E being so little, I always like to make sure that she is wrapped up warm.

She recently received a gorgeous little Hat, Mittens & Booties set by JJ Cole. The set is a gorgeous cream colour so it will match any outfit and it is perfect for both boys and girls. The outer material is faux-shearling making it very plush and soft and the inner lining is polyester so it won't irritate babies skin. They are very thick too so they do keep her warm.

From experience with both of my children, babies always find a way to wriggle out of their mittens and booties which means I constantly need to stop to put them back on as I don't want them getting cold. The booties and mittens in this set are elasticated so they actually stay on - I was super impressed! As E is 11 weeks old, we received the set in 0-6 months and the booties and mittens fit snugly, the hat is a little big so it will definitely still be fitting her in a few months time.
