Munchkin White Hot Super Safety Bath Ducky (Scuba Ducky)

As part of our role as Munchkin/Lindam Bloggers, we received the White Hot Super Safety Bath Ducky. 

As soon as I opened out my Munchkin/Lindam parcel, this was the first item C lunged for. Although it may look like just a toy, it's much more than that. 

The Ducky is really a thermometer with a safety indicator on the bottom. The word HOT is revealed in white if the water is too warm making for easy, stress-free bath times and I think it works quite well. It means I don't have to keep dipping my elbow in the water! 

It obviously doubles up as a bath toy and the chunkiness means that both C and E can hold it and play comfortably. They are water-tight so it won't sink, squirt or develop mildew. He has become a bathtime staple in our house

We received the Ducky who is rocking some scuba diving gear but you also purchase the firefighter duck or princess duck for only £3.29! If you prefer a plain duck, they're priced at £2.80 - bargain!

Kids Kit Peli Play Pouch Bath Tidy

Bathtime is the kids favourite time of day. C is now almost 3 and in that time, he has a pretty impressive collection of bath toys. We would just store them in a plastic box with holes in the bottom which wasn't the best! 

We received the Kids Kit Peli Play Pouch Tidy Net Storage from BabyThingz and I honestly thought that there was no way that it would fit all of C and E's bath toys.

The pouch was easy enough to put together the main plastic bit sits easily onto the side of the bath and the net slots in. It can either face in the bath or out if it takes up a bit too much space whilst your children are bathing. 

To my surprise, all of the kids toys did fit in with extra space for more! The lid opens and closes easily so C was able to get his toys out then put them back in to tidy up by himself. 

The plastic means that it can be cleaned easily and the net ensures that excess water is drained off of toys. We haven't had any incidences of either the toys or net going mouldy so that's a win in my book!

Munchkin Scooper Hooper

C loves having baths and I think it's down to the fact that he likes to play with different toys. Ones that he doesn't play with day in, day out. 

As part of being a Munchkin Blogger we received the Scooper Hooper. 

The Scooper Hooper is two toys in one. You get the 'scooper' and three rubber balls. Firstly, you can play by letting the balls float in the water and trying to scoop them with the 'scooper'. The handle is easy grip so it's perfect for C's little hands to hold. He had lots of fun trying to catch the balls as they floated by him. It's great for hand-eye coordination too!

Alternatively, the 'scooper' has a suction pad at the end of the handle so it can be stuck onto the side of the bath. Your child can then use the balls as basketballs and try to get them in the net of the scooper. C preferred this game better. 

The colourfulness of the scooper and balls combined with the different textures and game that can be played makes it the perfect bath toy for children. 

The Scooper Hooper is suitable for children aged 12 months + and it retails at £5.99.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas: Dobies of Devon Petal Perfect Gift Pack

I find Mother's Day a very hard occasion to buy for which is why over the next week or so, I'll be bringing you some fabulous gift ideas.

tommee tippee Digital Bath & Room Thermometer

tommee tippee is probably one of the most well-known baby brands across the globe. We have been lucky enough to work with them on a number of products in the past; Royal Baby range, Explora Animal Antics cup and their Best of British range.

E has now moved into the big bath so I was excited to have the opportunity to try tommee tippee's bath and room thermometer.

The thermometer itself is in tommee tippee's iconic star-shape so it matches their range of nursery and bedroom decor. It comes with a little stand for you to use it as a room thermometer too. This is a little flimsy and niggly to get it to sit on but it does the job. In order to turn the thermometer on, you need to tap it on a hard surface and the temperature is displayed within seconds. I did test this out with our old thermometer and it reads the same so I have no arguments that it works correctly.

For use in the bath, it floats so you are able to see it (unless you put a mound of bubbles in like me!) and the handy LED flashes red when the water is too hot for your baby (at 39°C), putting your mind at ease. The star-shape makes it kid-friendly too. C always wants to play with it when he's in the bath.

As you can see from my photos, I use Celsius but it is possible to switch the mode to Fahrenheit if you would prefer that. It's a great size and do like the fact that it doesn't give a constant reading when in "room mode" as I do always worry about batteries running out easily.

Shnuggle Baby Bath - Review

With us expecting baby #2 and the fact that we had gotten rid of all of C's old baby things, one of the things we needed was a baby bath.

Shnuggle sent us out one of their baths and I'll start this review by saying one thing; there aren't enough words in the English language to describe how much I love this bath. 

As soon as I opened it out of its box, I was a bit surprised that it was foam. I'd never seen a foam baby bath before and I was curious to see how it would hold water. The foam is actually super-strong polypropylene foam which means that it's lightweight (only 0.4kg!) durable and it's about 1000 times stronger than other foams. The foam makes it constantly feel warm (well, room temperature) as opposed to cold plastic baths. It's kind to your baby's skin too. 

It has a clever Bum-Bump (my favourite feature of the bath!) and sloping back so that your baby feels safe and secure. We had a regular plastic bath with C and I always had to have Chris here to help me bath him as I could never hold and wash him at the same time. The Bum-Bump makes washing your baby so easy. I don't even have to hold E at all now that she can hold her head.

The Shnuggle bath has been one of those items that I never knew I needed until I had it. There is no way I would ever use a regular baby bath now. It's a lot more compact too at 58 x 37 x 35cm.

The water shocked her!

The Shnuggle bath retails at £30.00 at Shnuggle's online shop. Seriously, at that price, go buy one. You won't regret it! It does your baby from birth to 6 months and I'm already crying inside. What am I gonna do when E is too big!? They also sell the most adorable Moses Baskets too so if you're expecting a baby, definitely pop over.

Baby Bathing & Changing Wishlist

Now that I'm past the 20 week mark, I've been starting to think about what to buy for the new baby. Although I've done this all before, it's still really exciting, especially that this time round it's a girl so I can inject a bit of pink in!

I've put together a little wishlist for baby in the theme of Bathing & Changing.

TOMY Winnie the Pooh Stack, Pour, Post & Play Review

On a dull and drab Monday that was composed of a doctors visit in the morning, I got home to find that my lovely neighbour had taken in a fabulous review item for us and it instantly perked me up - TOMY's Winnie the Pooh Stack, Pour, Post & Play! 

On opening, I thought that this toy looks so bright and colourful. Definitely appealing to a child. I love how there is more than one way to play, ensuring that your child doesn't get bored. 

I showed C how to play with the stackers in the bath. He didn't really grasp how to do it himself but he loves watching the water come through when I do it for him. He claps and puts his hands under (adorable!). 

I have also been trying to teach him which small shape goes in which hole. He is a quick learner so he understands but he forgets to let go of them to put them in! I'm sure he'll catch on eventually but it is teaching him very well. 

The stackers are a bit tougher for him. He will let me stack them and he likes to knock them down and wait for me to put them back up again. He does try to put the smaller shapes on top though! Again, this is something that I think he will pick up on with more practice. 

They pack away easily too - which is great and C's second toy box is filling up thick and fast and it also ensures that we don't lose any little pieces. 

The Winnie the Pooh Stack, Pour, Post & Play is suitable for children aged 6-24 months and would make a great Christmas present. It is one of the first toys C wants out of his toy box now and he will definitely the use out of it.

Ozeri Turtlemeter Review

Ozeri are a manufacturer of digital lifestyle products for the modern home. They are based in the USA but are looking to expand into the UK market. They very kindly offered us one of their Bath Turtlemeters to review. 

As soon as I received it, I was surprised at the size. It is a lot bigger than I expected. I couldn't wait to give C a bath and put it to use!

Although it is quite heavy, it floats naturally on the water and is fully submersible. As soon as I placed it in the bath, it flashed blue to indicate that the water was too cold. 

I added quite a bit of hot water to put the turtle through its paces and it flashed red as a warning. 

I then obviously, got it to the correct temperature so that C could have a comfortable bath and it flashed green to tell me all was good to go!

As soon as the Turtlemeter is in the water, it switches on. It is sensor activated so you don't need to fiddle with any buttons and it automatically checks the temperature every second. It also double up a bath toy for your little one! 

This Turtlemeter is perfect from birth (with adult supervision required). The temperature is recorded in Fahrenheit though, so I did need to break out my trusty converter!
