I think this is a perfect gift for a little boy as you need to "feed" the monster then he "poops" out your money! Very appealing to a boy! 

It isn't like any moneybox I've ever seen. This one doubles up into a cuddly toy who minds your money for you. 

Monstros moneyboxes, in my eyes, are a fantastic product and would make a great gift especially coming up to Christmas.

Ozeri Turtlemeter Review

Ozeri are a manufacturer of digital lifestyle products for the modern home. They are based in the USA but are looking to expand into the UK market. They very kindly offered us one of their Bath Turtlemeters to review. 

As soon as I received it, I was surprised at the size. It is a lot bigger than I expected. I couldn't wait to give C a bath and put it to use!

Although it is quite heavy, it floats naturally on the water and is fully submersible. As soon as I placed it in the bath, it flashed blue to indicate that the water was too cold. 

I added quite a bit of hot water to put the turtle through its paces and it flashed red as a warning. 

I then obviously, got it to the correct temperature so that C could have a comfortable bath and it flashed green to tell me all was good to go!

As soon as the Turtlemeter is in the water, it switches on. It is sensor activated so you don't need to fiddle with any buttons and it automatically checks the temperature every second. It also double up a bath toy for your little one! 

This Turtlemeter is perfect from birth (with adult supervision required). The temperature is recorded in Fahrenheit though, so I did need to break out my trusty converter!

Limited Edition Pickled Onion Flavoured Pom-Bears for Halloween

I LOVE Halloween and everything about it. Imagine my excitement when we received a fantastic Halloween multipack of Pickled Onion flavoured Pom Bears in the post. To make things even better, look how it was packaged - purple crinkled paper and cobwebs! (P.S. How cute are his little vampire fangs!?)

Pickled onion is my favourite crisp flavour so I knew that I'd enjoy them so I enlisted my Chief Crisp Tester, Eva, to try them out. 

She loves the original Pom Bears as crisps shaped like animals are much more exciting than regular crisps. 

Myself and my dad (he just had to try them) both thought that the flavouring wasn't strong enough for our tastes but my sister was extremely fond of it. These are aimed at kids so the level of flavouring is just right for them. 

The texture of the crisps are perfect and just melt in your mouth. Eva actually asked our mum if she would buy some for Halloween - she enjoyed them that much! 

They are suitable for vegetarians and are gluten free! They also contain no artificial colours or preservatives.

C at 12 months

It amazes me how much C can learn in just a short month.

He can wave! (which is absolutely adorable, by the way!) He does it the wrong way round so his palm is facing him but it's still waving!

He points and shouts! Like a proper angry kid speaking gobbledegook!

He says 'mum' more than 'dad' now *blows raspberry at Chris*

He can say tickle! The cutest and most hilarious thing ever.

He's finally properly crawling and pulling himself up! We recently put him down for a split second, turned around and we saw his little legs going into the bathroom!

He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! He has me watching his DVD at least twice a day. Chris and I are constantly singing the songs even when C is asleep! Argh!

I wonder what he'll learn next :)

C's First Birthday Party

Just over a week ago it was C's first birthday party. I already can't believe it's been a week. 

We rented out 2 halls at a leisure centre. The first hall had a bouncy castle and footballs and other little things to play with and we had that room for 1 hour. 

At first, I thought it might be a bit boring. A bouncy castle for the kids and all the adults would be left standing about but I was wrong. Once the party got started, the kids really enjoyed themselves and us adults chattered away. 

When the hour in the bouncy castle hall was up, we had an hour in a food room. The night before we had made sandwiches and spent the morning of the party cooking food and making sure we had enough for everyone!

At first I thought two different rooms was a bit weird but it worked out better. The kids worked up an appetite playing and also, I think having the food in the same room as the bouncy castle would mean that the kids probably wouldn't eat as they'd be too interested in playing!

I was a bit nervous thought and kept asking everyone repeatedly if they were okay. My mother-in-law said to me, "Rebecca, the kids are all eating and no ones crying.  Everyone's happy" and she was right!

I was really stressed out in the lead up but the party went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time. I'd just like to say a huge thank you to my lovely sister-in-law Emma who helped us set up the food room, thank you to my best friend Jessica who very kindly made C'a birthday cake and thank you to my parents-in-law Michelle and Ian for bringing all the party food over for us. 

Why was I so stressed!? Parties are easy :P
